Incredible 123-Room Mansion is on the Market For $266 Million

It’s the most expensive home listed in the world today and certainly a contender for the flashiest, but this Californian mansion has found itself in a spot of bother after failing to sell more than one year after hitting the market.

Nicknamed ‘The Manor’, the 123-room estate on South Mapleton Drive in Los Angeles – three doors down from the Playboy Mansion and owned by Petra Stunt, daughter of Formula One owner & tycoon Bernie Ecclestone – has yet to attract any buyers willing to pay the eye-popping $266 million asking price.

The Manor is the largest house in California.
Despite its incredible features, The Manor has failed to find a buyer willing to pay the $266 million price tag after more than one year on the market

The property has everything anyone could ever want from a house including a beauty salon, nightclub and parking for up to 100 cars and attracted interest from Jay-Z and Beyonce earlier this year, but even the high profile couple with a net worth of more than $1 billion didn’t want it.

Most recently purchased for $85 million in 2011, Stunt is looking for more than three times the amount of money she spent on the property after adding her own unique features to the home, such as a gym, bowling alley, an industrial-sized kitchen and a wine cellar and tasting room.

Real estate owners describe The Manor as an “entertainer’s dream”, and say the $266 million price tag could be a BARGAIN compared to the recently sold Playboy Mansion

The attempted sale of ‘The Manor’ follows the sale of the Playboy Mansion for $105 million in 2016, belonging to the late Hugh Hefner.

Real estate professionals in America are saying the $266 million asking price for ‘The Manor’ could actually be a bargain as the Playboy Mansion is a much smaller home, meaning buyers would be paying $3,500 per square foot , compared to $5,250 per square foot paid for the Playboy Mansion.
